Last year, I did the end of 2014 book survey created by Perpetual Page Turner and I loved it a lot so I’m here again this year to do it with my 2015 stats and reads instead.
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
Today, I’m changing it up a bit. In the past with Top Ten Tuesday, there have been topics that I don’t really want to do mainly because I don’t have much to say about them. For example today’s topics is our top ten auto-buy authors and my list would have been very similar to my list of authors that I’ve read the most books from that I made last week. Thus, I’ve made a decision. When a topic pops up that I don’t want to do, I will come up with my own topic about something non-bookish to share my non-bookish interests. So I thought I’d start by sharing my top ten favourite TV shows. I love to watch TV and there are many TV shows that I watch. This list is a mixture of currently airing TV shows and finished TV shows. This is going in descending order with my ultimate favourite show at the bottom. If you want to know more about each show click on the title to go to their imdb page.
So it is no surprise to anyone that I love Bollywood movies(if you don’t know this have you been reading my blog or twitter at all over the past few months?) and anyone who knows me in real life will know my immense love for Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. So today I am here to tell you all about why I love this film so much and where this love came from. This post is inspired by a post I made last year titled the One Where Sofia Discusses Her Love for Friends and another post I made called The One Where Sofia Discusses Her Love for McBusted and McFly so I thought I’d make it into a recurring thing where I tell you all about my obsessions.
As most of you probably know, I’m currently doing my GCSEs but as of June 12th, I will be mostly free until September. Of course, there are many things I want to do this summer since I have all this free time. I plan on reading a lot but I thought I’d share some of the other non-bookish things I want to do this summer.
In March, I made a post about the 5 Bollywood movies that I had recently re-watched and since then I have watched a few more so I thought I’d make a part 2 post. This will also be in chronological order of the order in which I watched them.
Recently, I haven’t been reading. Or blogging. All the posts that have gone up in the last two weeks have all been scheduled. There is one specific reason for this and the reason has slightly been given away in the title of the post. I have been watching Bollywood movies. Actually, correction. I’ve been re-watching Bollywood movies. As an Asian child, I grew up watching Bollywood movies and I really enjoyed them when I was younger but then I went through a period of despising them. However, recently I’ve decided to re-watch some of my favourites that I loved when I was younger and I’ve gotten back into watching them. As I don’t want to commit this blog to just about reading, I thought I’d make a post about the 5 Bollywood movies that I’ve recently watched again. These are some of my favourites but not all of them. I personally feel like anyone can enjoy Bollywood movies. I don’t speak Hindi so I don’t know what they are actually saying but I just read the subtitles and I love them still.
A year ago today, I published my first post that is still currently up. Before that, I had many posts but I deleted them all because I didn’t like them but here I am a year on. My first post was a review of Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell which is my favourite book of all time. Today I thought I’d tell you a little bit about how I’ve changed and also amazing things that have happened to me within the last year.
So it’s the start of February(well it has been for a couple of days but let’s forget that) so I thought I’d do a January monthly wrap up where I talk about the books I read, the posts that I posted and other exciting things that happened this month. I started off the year by doing this at the end of each week but it was so difficult to keep up with so I thought if I do this at the end of each month/start of the new month then it would be easier to do. So let’s get on to the fun things I did this month.
On Thursday, the wonderful YABirmingham hosted a Q&A and signing with James Rice, the author of Alice and the Fly(find my review here) and I was so excited to attend this because whilst Alice and The Fly wasn’t my favourite book in the world, it was a really good book that had an excellent plot, interesting characters and beautiful writing. So today, I thought I’d tell you guys more about the event itself.
Hey everybody! On Friday it was my birthday and I got a lot of awesome things so I thought I’d show them all to you. There will be quite a few photos in this post so you’ll be able to see them as well. I am not bragging in this post but I just wanted to show off a lot of the cool things I got. If you don’t want to read this post then I understand but I did get some cool books as well.
